Spruill Center for the Arts - Dunwoody, GA
The Spruill Center for the Arts project included more than 8,000 square feet of new space. The project was a partnership between the Spruill Center and the City of Dunwoody to fulfill the Art Center’s mission of “fostering creativity and social connections through the Arts,” giving the center the ability to offer programs it hadn’t been able to before.
The expansion includes seven new art studios, including glass, ceramics, blacksmithing, woodturning, multi-function art rooms, and a community room. Additionally, the new facility features large outdoor gathering spaces that open up to the renovated courtyard and new pavilion.
The $3.4 million project was made possible through a combination of public and private funding, including $1 million from the City of Dunwoody. The expansion allows the Spruill Center to offer a more diverse range of classes and more accommodations for the community to enhance both creativity and social engagement.
