Formerly known as Oakhurst Medical Center, Trident completed this 12,505 square foot medical facility on schedule and under budget providing primary and specialty healthcare to the Decatur community. With the on-set of the detrimental Novel Corona Virus 2019 during construction, it was imperative that the facility open quickly to provide care for the community, while ensuring the entire project team remained safe and healthy. To do this, the project team had to work together to overcome several challenges in order to open this critical facility.

In addition to implementing COVID-19 precautions, work also needed to be done in both rights-of-way and underground. Trident worked closely with the Georgia Department of Transportation and Dekalb County to implement extensive safety and traffic control precautions 24/7.

This project was completed on schedule with zero COVID-19 related delays or safety-related incidents throughout the duration of the project, and the project exceeded the MBE goal of 25% with 27% participation achieved.
